The eBART project is a 10 mile diesel multiple unit (DMU) line planned to run from the Pittsburg/Bay Point BART Station eastward along the median of State Route 4 to the City of Antioch’s Hillcrest Avenue. It was built in coordination with the SR 4 Widening project. In 2018, It will provide seamless transfer to BART trains. The project does not preclude future conventional BART. The trains are clean-diesel with a capacity of 300 to 400 people.
