BART Berryessa Extension, Fremont to North San Jose

ISI provided special inspection and materials testing services for this ten mile extension. This extension brings BART south from Warm Springs to the Berryessa station. The construction work included constructing the line, track, systems and stations. The BART extension represents a key investment in the transportation infrastructure for the south Bay Area and will benefit residents and companies in the area by easing the highly congested commute corridor, reducing emissions and air pollutants and support transit-oriented development. It represents the largest public works project in Santa Clara County’s history.
