The last 12-30 pavement overlay at Oakland International occurred in 2001. In 2017, the Oakland International Airport resurfaced the Airport’s primary commercial air carrier runway. The Oakland Airport Runway 12-30 Rehabilitation project was an impressive project that replaced 8,300 feet of asphalt to provide a new operating surface for aircrafts. The effort required two full weeks of around-the-clock construction and was completed while the Airport maintained full operations.
