ISI provided special inspection and materials testing services for the new three-story, 156,818 SF Community Wellness Center for the City College of San Francisco Ocean Avenue Campus. The state of the art athletic complex includes a gymnasium, natatorium, fitness center, lockers, conference classrooms, lounges, faculty offices, athletic equipment core, etc.
This project was very “inspection-intensive” because of the numerous types of materials: reinforced concrete, structural steel, high strength bolting, two types of fireproofing, three types of masonry, shotcrete, segmented walls, expansion anchors, site work concrete and roof insulating concrete. ISI retained a subcontractor to assist with out-of-state shop fabrication inspections. This project is under the California building code regulation of CCR Title 24.
